Royalty in Jordan


Jordan's current monarch, King Abdullah II, came to the throne in February 1999 after the death of his father, King Hussein. King Abdullah and his wife, Queen Rania, have four children: Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma, and Prince Hashem.

In July 2009, Prince Hussein was named crown prince, meaning he is the designated heir to the throne.

History of the Hashemite Royal Family
