The Prince of Wales arrived in Kuwait on October 31, 2011. The prince, who is on a tour of the Middle East and Africa, spent a full day in Kuwait.

Naval officers from HMS Argyll stood to attention in the military parade at the Bayan Palace.

The prince met hundreds of people during the day, many of whom he shook hands with before a state banquet lunch hosted by the emir of Kuwait.

The Prince of Wales's standard flew above the British Embassy in Kuwait to mark the prince's visit.

The prince attended a garden party held in his honour at the British Embassy in Kuwait.
