December 31, 2001: I've updated the Royal News page and the Frequently Asked Questions page.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who visited Royalty.nu this year, shared their comments and suggestions, entered the first-ever Royalty.nu contest, posted on the message board, and contributed to the future of the site by purchasing books and other items. I wish you all a very peaceful and prosperous 2002!

December 30, 2001: Updated the Royal Books page with books published in January 2002. Added new books about Ancient Rome, India, Europe, Richard III, Eleanor of Aquitaine, and Elizabeth II.

December 28, 2001: You may notice that I've added a new navigation menu to the right-hand side of many pages in recent days. Hope you like it. Also updated the Royal News page. Added new books about Belgium and deleted dead links from that page. Fixed some bad links in the History section. Added new books about Denmark, Thailand, King Arthur, France, Jerome Bonaparte, and Russia. The featured book of the week is Louis XI: The Universal Spider by Paul Murray Kendall.

December 26, 2001: Updated the Royal News page again.

December 24, 2001: Updated the Royal News page.

December 22, 2001: Check out the new section about The Royal Stuart Dynasty: King James I, King Charles I, King Charles II, King James II, William and Mary, and Queen Anne!

December 21, 2001: Added new books about Royalty in Africa, Anastasia, English Royal History, and Royalty in Scotland. The featured book of the week is A Right Royal Christmas: An Anthology edited by Hugh Douglas.

December 20, 2001: Updated the Royal News page again!

December 19, 2001: Updated the Royal News page.

December 18, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added new links about Saudi Arabia and another book about Queen Elizabeth II.

December 16, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added new links to the Royal History page.

December 15, 2001: Added a new link to the Anastasia page. Check it out: Anna-Anastasia by Peter Kurth.

December 14, 2001: The featured book of the week is The Royal Physician's Visit by Per Olov Enquist.

December 13, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added books to the European Royalty and Scandinavian Royalty pages.

December 8, 2001: Updated the Royal Books page with books published in December. Added books about English royalty, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Henry VIII, Queen Mary I, the Tudors, Bonnie Prince Charlie, Nepal, Dracula, and Alexander the Great. The featured book of the week is Kaspar Hauser: Europe's Child by Martin Kitchen.

December 7, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added books about Royal Genealogy, Russian Royalty, Regency England, and Prince Charles.

December 6, 2001: Added new books about Scandinavia and France.

December 5, 2001: Updated the Royal News page.

December 2, 2001: Added links about Mary, Queen of Scots. Added new books about Henry VIII and King Tut.

December 1, 2001: Congratulations to the crown prince and princess of Japan on the birth of their daughter! See the Royal News page for more on this story.

November 30, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. The featured book of the week is The People's Emperor: Democracy and the Japanese Monarchy, 1945-1995 by Kenneth J. Ruoff. Added quite a few new books and documentaries about Napoleon. Also added new books about Princess Diana, European Royalty, Saudi Arabia, American Royalty and Roman Emperors.

November 29, 2001: Added new books about European Royalty, English Royalty, Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Elizabeth II, and Royalty in India.

November 28, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added new books about royalty in Africa, Europe, the Balkans, England, Ireland, the Middle East, and Israel.

November 27, 2001: Added a couple new links to the Prince William page.

November 26, 2001: I've added a lot more books about Princess Diana, but I'm still not done updating that page.

November 25, 2001: I have started adding more books to the Princess Diana page. I'm not done yet; there are a LOT of Diana books, so it will take a while!

November 24, 2001: Added new links about Alexander the Great, Middle Eastern Royalty and Royalty in Israel. Also added books by and about The Duchess of York.

November 23, 2001: Added books about Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen Mother, and English Royal History. The featured book of the week is William: The Rebel Prince by Nicholas Davies. Also updated the Royal News page.

November 21, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added links about Malaysia to the Asian Royalty page.

November 20, 2001: Added some books and links about Saxony to the European Royalty page.

November 19, 2001: The Royal News page has been updated.

November 16, 2001: The featured book of the week is Non Campus Mentis compiled by Anders Henriksson, a funny look at world history as seen through the eyes of befuddled college students. I have read this book, and it's hysterical.

November 15, 2001: Added new links to the William the Conqueror page.

November 14, 2001: Updated the Royal News page again.

November 13, 2001: Another update to the Royal News page. Plus, new links about Cambodian royalty and European royalty.

November 12, 2001: Updated the Royal News page.

November 11, 2001: Finally! I've added a FAQ page to address frequently asked questions about this website.

November 10, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added new information, books, and links about Royalty in India, Royalty in Saudi Arabia, Royalty in Hawaii, and Royalty in the Netherlands. The featured book of the week is King Asoka and Buddhism, edited by Anuradha Seneviratna.

November 7, 2001: Updated the Royal News page.

November 5, 2001: New links about Royalty in Asia and Royalty in the Balkans.

November 4, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added a book about Brunei. Also swept the cobwebs out of the Habsburg page, removing dead links and adding books about Maria Theresa. Also added some additional information to the William the Conqueror page.

November 3, 2001: Check out the link list at the bottom of the Asian Royalty page for a new site about the Vietnamese monarchy.

November 2, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added new books about Lady Jane Grey and Marie Antoinette. Updated the New Royal Books page with books published in November. The featured book of the week is The Dragon Queen by Alice Borchardt.

October 31, 2001: Added new books about Tutankhamen and the Tudors.

October 30, 2001: Added new books about French Royalty and European Royalty. Reorganized and updated the European royalty book list.

October 29, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Also added the BBC miniseries A History of Britain 2. For info on this and other documentaries and books in the History of Britain series, visit the English History page.

October 28, 2001: Added new books about Russian Royalty, English Royal History, and Buddha.

October 27, 2001: Updated the Royal News page and added a new page about Royalty in Nepal. Also added an archive for past "what's new" updates, plus new books about Cleopatra, English Royal History, Queen Victoria, King Arthur, and Modern British Royalty.

October 26, 2001: I've added some info about Alfred the Great's parents, plus new (and, of course, great) links about Alfred and Alexander the Great. The new featured book of the week is Uncrowned King: The Life of Prince Albert by Stanley Weintraub.

October 25, 2001: Updated the Royal News page with several stories.

October 23, 2001: Added a story about Nepal to the Royal News page. Also added A&E's "Biography" of Prince Edward & Sophie Rhys-Jones and books about Mary Queen of Scots.

October 20, 2001: Updated the Queen Victoria page with new movies and documentaries about the queen (including the miniseries that begins on A&E tomorrow) and books about Jack the Ripper. The new featured book of the week is The Last Grand Duchess by Ian Vorres.

October 17, 2001: I've finally given Napoleon his own page!

October 15, 2001: Is the king of Tonga dying? See the Royal News page for updates on his health and that of the emir of Kuwait.

October 14, 2001: Added new links about Alexander the Great, Royalty in Israel, and King Arthur.

October 13, 2001: The Royal News page has been updated. Plus, see the Princess Diana page for a new link to information about the British government's memorial fountain design competition.

October 12, 2001: Updated the Royal Books page with books published in October. Also added new books about Marie Antoinette and the Tudors. The new featured book of the week is Bastard Prince: Henry VIII's Lost Son by Beverley A. Murphy.

October 11, 2001: Added books about Palaces and Genealogy. And have you visit the Royalty.nu message board recently? Please do; we want to hear from you.

October 10, 2001: New books have been added about Chinese Royalty, Modern British Royalty and English Royal History.

October 8, 2001: Added new books about the Romanovs and Egyptian Royalty.

October 7, 2001: Updated the Anastasia and Anna Anderson page with info about Anderson's cremation. Also made some changes to the book and link lists on that page.

October 6, 2001: Added new books about Royal Women and French Royalty.

October 5, 2001: Added new books about Prince William and Henry VIII. The featured book of the week is King Edward VIII: The Official Biography by Philip Ziegler.

October 4, 2001: The Royal News page has been updated. I also added new books about Royalty in India, Royalty in Egypt, Royalty in Ireland, and African Royalty.

September 29, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. I'm going on vacation, so this site won't be updated for a few days, but you will find links to many other sites with royal and international news on my Royal News page.

September 28, 2001: Added new books about European Royalty, Scandinavian Royalty, English Royal History, Hawaiian Royalty, Cleopatra. Featured Book of the Week: Purple Secret: Genes, "Madness" and the Royal Houses of Europe by John Rohl, Martin Warren, and David Hunt.

September 27, 2001: Checked and updated all the links and books on the King Arthur and English Royal History pages.

September 26, 2001: Updated the Royal News page. Added a page about British Royal Marriage Proposals. Some updates to Irish Royalty, Hawaiian Royalty, and Prince William.

September 22, 2001: Added more books and links about Afghanistan. Updated the Royal News page. Chose a new featured book of the week: The Encyclopedia of World History: 6th Edition edited by Peter N. Stearns. Added the autobiography of Nelson Mandela to the African Royalty page (yes, he is royal). And a bunch of other minor updates.

September 19, 2001: Made changes to the African Royalty, Cambodian Royalty, Royal News, and World Royalty pages.

September 18, 2001: Updated the Fergie page with information about her new charity for victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the U.S. Added new books and links to the Alexander the Great page.

September 17, 2001: Amazon.com has made it easy for you to donate to the American Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies also accepts online donations; for information, visit its website. (2002 update: Removed Amazon link, which no longer works.)

Plus: Checked and updated the links on the Regency page. Added books to the European Royalty page. Some links added to the Royal News page.

September 15, 2001: The China page has been reorganized, as have the pages about Chinese empress Tzu Hsi and last emperor P'u Yi. Plus minor updates to Royal Books, Royal Collectibles, and Modern British Royalty.

September 14, 2001: Added new links to the Royal Bookstore and World Royalty A-Z pages. Picked a new Featured Book of the Week, The Oxford Atlas of World History by Patrick K. O'Brien.

September 13, 2001: Updated the Royal News page with more links about royal reaction to the terrorist attacks in the United States.

September 12, 2001: More Royal News about yesterday's terrorist attacks in the United States. Plus, check out the Fergie page for a new FAQ section.

September 11, 2001: Visit the Royal News page for royal reaction to the terrorist attacks in the U.S. Also made some minor updates to Scandinavian Royalty (the link to the royal family of Norway's official site should now work) and Royalty in Jordan.

September 10, 2001: Added news about the pregnancy of Greek princess Alexa to the Royal News and Balkan Royalty pages. Removed some dead links from the Royal Genealogy page.

September 7, 2001: Updated the Royalty.nu home page and Royal Books page with the new featured book of the week (Alexandra: The Last Tsarina by Carolly Erickson). I haven't updated the Royal News page recently because, well, I haven't found much news (unless you count the king of Sweden being hit in the face with a cake.

September 5, 2001: Added some new links to the Alexander the Great, Royal History, and World Royalty A-Z pages.

September 4, 2001: Checked and updated all the books and links on the African Royalty page.

September 1, 2001: Updated the Royal News page with an item about Prince Claus of the Netherlands. Updated the Royal Books page with books published in September. Added new books to these pages: Queen Victoria, Anastasia and Anna Anderson, French Royalty, European Royalty.

August 31, 2001: Added this What's New page! Also added new books about European Royalty, Russian Royalty, and King Tut and other Egyptian Royalty.

August 30, 2001: By popular demand, you will now find links about Princess Caroline's son Andrea on the Monaco page, plus an expanded list of videos about Princess Grace.

August 29, 2001: Revised the new Julius Caesar article to make it more detailed and interesting. Added new books to these pages: British Royalty, English Royal History, Eleanor of Aquitaine, King Arthur, The Man in the Iron Mask, Marie Antoinette, Royalty in Africa, Royalty in the Americas.
